We regularly review our policies, systems, and business practices to ensure compliance with applicable privacy legislation and to continuously strengthen our safeguards for personal information.
RSI Recruitment Inc. has reviewed its systems and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws, including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect personal information only when it is voluntarily provided by the individual to whom it pertains, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information that is unnecessary for legitimate recruitment or employment-related purposes.
- Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, personal information is processed on one or more of the following legal bases:
- The individual’s explicit consent
- Legitimate interests related to recruitment, employment placement, and professional networking, provided such interests do not override the individual’s rights

Consent may be withdrawn at any time, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions.
- Use of Personal Information
Personal information is used solely for identified and legitimate purposes, including:

- SMS and Phone Communications (TCR Registry Compliance)
5.1 Consent to Receive SMS Messages
RSI Recruitment Inc. sends SMS messages only to individuals who have provided prior express consent to receive such communications.
Consent may be obtained through:
- Direct verbal or written opt-in during phone, email, or messaging communication
- Submission of contact information where the individual explicitly agrees to SMS communication
- An established professional relationship where the individual knowingly provided their mobile number for recruitment-related contact
RSI does not use purchased lists, random number generation, or unsolicited bulk messaging.
5.2 Purpose and Frequency of Messages
SMS communications are limited to:
- Recruitment outreach for potential roles
- Status updates regarding candidacy
- Interview coordination and time-sensitive recruitment matters
Message frequency varies based on recruitment activity and is not excessive.
5.3 Opt-Out and Revocation of Consent
Individuals may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- Opt-out requests are processed promptly
- Once opted out, no further SMS messages will be sent unless new express consent is provided
- Consent may also be withdrawn by contacting RSI directly
5.4 No Sale or Sharing of SMS Data
RSI does not sell, rent, share, or disclose:
- Mobile phone numbers
- SMS consent records
- Message content
to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.
SMS data is used strictly for recruitment and operational communications.
- Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Personal information is:
- Stored in secure systems accessible only to authorized personnel bound by confidentiality obligations, or
- Permanently and securely deleted when no longer required
Unless deleted earlier, information is retained for the longest applicable period of:
- Service delivery requirements
- Legal or regulatory obligations
- Until the individual requests removal, where legally permissible
RSI reserves the right to securely delete information without prior notice where retention is no longer justified.
- Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be disclosed only:
- To clients or hiring organizations, with the individual’s explicit authorization and solely for recruitment purposes
- To service providers (e.g. ATS, communication platforms, IT providers) under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations
- For legal or regulatory compliance, where required by law
- International Transfers
Where personal information is transferred outside the individual’s country of residence, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
- Access, Accuracy, and Individual Rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information.
Requests must:
- Be submitted in writing to the Privacy Officer
- Include reasonable proof of identity
Individuals may also withdraw consent or request restriction of processing where applicable.
- Security and Limitations
RSI uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.
However:
- No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure
- Electronic communications may be intercepted or lost
- RSI cannot control the independent use of information by authorized third parties
- Third-party websites linked from our site are governed by their own privacy policies

- Acceptance of Terms
By accessing RSI Recruitment Inc.’s website, services, communications, or by engaging with RSI in any capacity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy above.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our services.
- Scope of Services
RSI Recruitment Inc. provides recruitment, executive search, and management consulting services, exclusively to companies or other professional organizations. It does not provide services to consumers.
RSI does not guarantee:
- Job placement
- Employment offers
- Interview outcomes
- Hiring decisions
All employment decisions remain solely with hiring organizations.
- Professional Use and Accuracy of Information
You agree that:
- Information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
- RSI may rely on information provided without independent verification
- You are responsible for updating your information as necessary
RSI is not responsible for decisions made by third parties based on information provided by you.
- Communication Consent
By providing your contact information, you consent to be contacted by RSI Recruitment Inc. via:
- Phone calls
- SMS (text) messages
- Social Media (such as Linkedin etc.)
- Regular mail.
Communications are limited to recruitment-related and operational purposes only. You may withdraw consent at any time in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- SMS Terms and Conditions
17.1 SMS Consent Communication
The phone numbers and consent information collected as part of the SMS opt-in process are used solely by RSI Recruitment Inc. and will not be shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.
17.2 Types of SMS Communications
If you have consented to receive SMS messages from RSI Recruitment Inc., you may receive text messages related to the following:
- Recruitment outreach regarding potential job opportunities
- Status updates related to your candidacy
- Interview scheduling or coordination
- Time-sensitive recruitment communications
Example message: “Hi [First Name], it’s Nicolas from RSI Recruitment Inc. I wanted to follow up regarding the role we discussed. Let me know if you’re available to chat. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. Message & data rates may apply.”
Messages are conversational in nature and are not promotional or marketing campaigns.
17.3 Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on recruitment activity and your level of engagement.
For example, you may receive up to 5 SMS messages per week during an active recruitment process. Message frequency is not excessive and is limited to legitimate recruitment needs.
17.4 Potential Fees for SMS Messaging
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and pricing plan. These fees may vary for domestic or international messages. RSI Recruitment Inc. is not responsible for carrier charges incurred by recipients.
17.5 Opt-In Method
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from RSI Recruitment Inc. in the following way:
- Verbal consent, obtained directly during a phone conversation, where we clearly ask:
“Do you agree to receive conversational text messages from RSI Recruitment Inc. regarding recruitment opportunities or updates? You may reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for support. Consent is documented and retained in accordance with applicable regulations.
17.6 Opt-Out Method
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive.
Alternatively, you may contact RSI Recruitment Inc. directly to request removal from our SMS communications list. Opt-out requests are processed promptly and honored immediately.

- Loss of employment opportunities
- Decisions made by employers or third parties
- System outages, carrier failures, or communication delays
- Governing Law
These Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Termination
RSI Recruitment Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate communications or services at any time where continued engagement is no longer appropriate, lawful, or operationally necessary.
